American Auction was founded in 1975 by auctioneer Steve Laubly after his 1974 graduation from the

Missouri Auction School.

    From 1975 to 1979 American Auction's total business was personal property and business liquidations.  In 1979 we entered the real estate auction market.  Since then we have
successfully sold hundreds of properties by auction.  

These have ranged from vacant lots in the $5,000 range to complete tracts of new homes and condos, to residential homes from $50,000 to over $1.5 million.

We also have helped many machine shop owners liquidate their businesses to retire or go on to other businesses, and we have developed a website service for those machine shop owners with a need to buy or sell a small number of items, or to trade or exchange items.
